Artwork within the municipal building, still opened at 10 p.m. on a Friday night! Watching the free cultural concert from one of their small stone balconies is another way to partake in their summer festivities. From busts of famous Conquistadores and a Maya revolt (last painting) to pastels of Iglesia de San Bernardino de Sierna adorn many public buildings.
In a moment of solidarity, I wore my "Homeland Security" t-shirt when visiting Chichén Itzá that next day.
